Alluka isn't human. It will soon be revealed that the islands humans live on is just a small part of the world, and the inhabitants of the rest of that world make Meruem look like a joke... well maybe more like an overpowered ant The few voyages sent there never came back except a few and they all brought tales and examples of great calamities so travel and even mention of the Dark continent is exclusive to only a few humans.The few logs they have describe godlike beings capable of wiping out armies in moments., but there is also immense treasure to be found. And it just so happens that members of the Freecs, Zoldyck and Netero families have been survivors of a few of those expeditions. As a testament to what I just said about the beings of the dark continent, Aluka was possessed, likely, by a being from the dark continent. Since the creature has the ability to wipe out many people at once and the Zoldycks have no guaranteed way to safely dispose of the creature or free Alluka they simply see her as the threat she poses, which Killua abhors because he loves his sister and knows Nanika can be, but is not necessarily a threat.
